Brian Goodell inspects, examines, swirls, sniffs, and otherwise enjoys his wine on the south bank of the James River in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri. He began writing “The Wine Guy” in 2004 at the prompting of his wife, who enjoys drinking wine, not hearing about it 24/7.

A wine enthusiast and devoted foodie, he spends his evenings in the kitchen after maintaining some degree of respectability as a professional educator.
